Terms & Conditions of Purchase

Last updated: January 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all treatments and memberships offered by home body ("I", "me", "my"). They are designed in line with UK consumer trading guidance to ensure clarity, fairness, and transparency. By booking a treatment or joining a membership, you agree to the terms below.

1. About home body

home body is a private massage therapy practice offering trauma-informed, consent-led, and body-neutral treatments. Services are provided from a private treatment room in Stoke Newington, London, and via home visits within a reasonable travel distance.

Treatments may include (but are not limited to): deep tissue massage, holistic massage, manual lymphatic drainage, pre- and post-operative care (including gender-affirming procedures), and pre/post-natal massage.

2. Eligibility & Health Information

Clients must be 18 years or older to book treatments unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You are responsible for disclosing all relevant medical information, injuries, surgeries, medications, and health conditions prior to your treatment. This includes changes to your health that occur between sessions.

I reserve the right to refuse, modify, or discontinue treatment if it is not clinically appropriate or safe.

Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical care and no diagnosis is given.

3. Bookings & Payments

All bookings are made via the Acuity Scheduling booking platform unless otherwise agreed. Bookings can be accessed via https://www.home-body.uk/appointments.

Clients may choose to pay in full at the point of booking. At minimum, a 50% deposit is required for a booking to be confirmed.

Deposits are non-refundable 48 hours after the booking is made. Prior to this point, refunds may be issued in line with the cancellation policy below.

The remaining balance (if applicable) is payable before or at the time of the appointment, as stated on the booking platform.

Prices are clearly listed at the time of booking and may be updated from time to time. Any price changes will not affect treatments already booked or memberships already paid for during their active period.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at 100% of the treatment fee.

  • Failure to attend a booked appointment (no-show) will be charged at 100%.

For memberships, late cancellations or no-shows will count as a used session.

Exceptions may be made in cases of sudden illness or emergency, at my discretion.

5. Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to avoid impacting other clients. The full treatment fee will still apply.

6. Consent, Boundaries & Conduct

All treatments are strictly therapeutic and non-sexual.

Consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn or renegotiated at any time during a session. I encourage clients to advocate for their needs verbally if they should change during a session.

Any inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session and future bookings may be refused. No refunds will be given in such cases.

7. Gift Vouchers & Packages

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and must be used within the stated validity period.

Packages and pre-paid treatments are non-transferable unless agreed in writing.

Membership Terms & Conditions

These terms apply in addition to the general Terms & Conditions above.

8. Membership Overview

The home body Monthly Membership offers:

  • 1 massage treatment per month

  • Session length between 45–90 minutes (agreed in advance)

  • 10% discount compared to standard single-session pricing

Memberships are designed to support consistent care and ongoing therapeutic work.

9. Minimum Commitment

Memberships have a minimum commitment of 3 consecutive months.

By signing up, you agree to pay for a minimum of three monthly payments. This reflects the discounted nature of the membership.

10. Payment & Billing

Membership payments are taken as recurring monthly payments via the agreed payment method.

Membership fees are not deposits and are not refundable once processed.

If a payment fails, I will contact you to resolve the issue. Continued access to membership benefits may be paused until payment is received.

11. Use of Membership Sessions

  • One session is included per membership month unless otherwise personalised.

  • Sessions should ideally be used within the month they are allocated.

  • Sessions may roll over for a short period by agreement but are not guaranteed to accumulate indefinitely.

Unused sessions are not redeemable for cash.

12. Personalised Memberships

Memberships may be personalised by agreement to:

  • Increase frequency (e.g. more than one session per month)

  • Run on an every-other-month basis

Any personalised arrangement will be confirmed in writing and may affect pricing, billing cycles, or session length.

13. Pausing or Cancelling Memberships

After the initial 3-month commitment, memberships may be cancelled with 30 days’ notice.

Pausing a membership due to illness, surgery, or life circumstances may be possible by agreement. This will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

If you cancel before completing the minimum commitment, you may be charged the difference between the discounted membership rate and the standard treatment price for sessions already received.

14. Practitioner Cancellations

If I need to cancel a session, you will be offered:

  • A rescheduled appointment, or

  • A credit toward a future session

No additional compensation is offered beyond this.

15. Changes to Terms

I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in services or legal guidance.

Members will be given reasonable notice of any significant changes.

16. Data Protection & Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and data protection laws.

Information collected is used solely for providing treatments, managing bookings, and required record-keeping.

Your data will never be sold or shared for marketing purposes.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, please get in touch before booking.

These terms are intended to be fair, transparent, and rooted in mutual care and respect.
